Position Summary

Fresh Express is the leader in delivering healthy consumable products to some of the leading Retail Grocers and Food service suppliers throughout the United States. This position will specifically support the Fresh Express Network Transportation Department in the areas of processing vendor invoices and payments, and routine clerical and administrative functions such as, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to our Executive staff. Uses business software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and monitor vendor payments
  • Periodic interactions with external vendors
  • Manage and maintain communication with other groups
  • Coordinate and perform a range of staff and/or operational support activities for the department
  • Serves as a liaison with other departments and vendors in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational problems
  • Accurately prepare and update reports
  • Maintain & coordinate schedules for Department Manager, compile & submit expense reports, create reports & materials for meetings.
  •  Identifies and recommends improvements to processes, practices or materials.
  • Work independently and in a team environment
  • Complete other administrative duties as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. 
  • High level of accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be proactive and self-directed with an ability to take direction


Required Education and Experience

  • Associates degree or comparable college credits in business, supply chain management, Logistics or related field (trucking / warehousing) or equivalent work experience
  • 1 year experience in professional office setting in business or related field
  • Must have computer skills (i.e. Internet, MS Excel (Intermediate) Pivot Table & V-lookup, MS Outlook, MS Access
  • Strong communication relationship building and problem solving skills
