Position Summary

The position is responsible for Fresh Express full cycle recruiting, to attract, screen, select and onboard qualified and suitable personnel to fill the open positions. Responsible to attract top talent from our candidates' pool, gain competitive advantage and fuel company's growth.

Position Functions

  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy for manufacturing type positions
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Team up with hiring managers to understand the requirements of each position
  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
  • Prepare and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc
  • Source and attract candidates by using databases, social media etc
  • Screen candidate's resumes and job applications
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
  • Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
  • Onboard new employees to become fully integrated
  • Monitor and apply recruiting best practices
  • Provide analytical and well documented reports to upper management
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Skills & Qualifications Desired

  • Bilingual English/Spanish English/Polish-preferred
  • Computer literate (MS Office: Excel, Word and Power Point).
  • Knowledge of Affirmative Action Plans and Employment Law
  • Ability to administer HR processes, policy, and procedures
  • Workday proficiency a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Position Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a Union environment-preferred
  • Proven work experience as a recruiter
  • Solid ability to conduct several types of interviews (structured, competency based, stress etc)
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check etc)
  • Familiarity with the HRIS databases, applicant tracking systems and CMS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision making skills
  • 1-3 years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing or staffing agency

Position Education & Training Preferred

  • BS/MS in Human Resources Management preferred
